Flake epoxy colors and blends

Every system gets the same prep and the same topcoat. The only thing that changes is the look.

The process

Our epoxy floor installation process

  1. 01

    Grind & repair

Diamond grinding opens the concrete so resin bonds mechanically. Cracks, pits, and spalls get filled first.

  2. 02

    Base & broadcast

A pigmented base coat goes down, then vinyl flake is broadcast to full rejection in your chosen blend.

  3. 03

    Seal & cure

A clear polyaspartic topcoat locks it in. That's the shine, the chemical resistance, and the warranty.

Questions

Epoxy garage floor FAQs

The things homeowners ask us on every estimate.

How long does an epoxy garage floor take to install?+

Most residential garages are finished in one to two days. Grinding and repairs happen on day one, coating and flake broadcast the same day, and the polyaspartic topcoat goes down before we leave.

When can I park on it?+

You can walk on the floor the next morning. We ask that you wait about three days before parking vehicles on it so the topcoat reaches full cure.

Will it peel or flake off like the store-bought kits?+

Peeling almost always traces back to poor prep. We diamond-grind every slab to open the concrete so the resin bonds mechanically rather than sitting on top of a sealed surface.

Does it handle hot tire pickup?+

Yes. Hot tire pickup is a failure mode of thin DIY coatings. A properly ground slab with a commercial-grade base and polyaspartic topcoat is not affected by it.

What does an epoxy garage floor cost in Ventura County?+

Pricing depends on square footage, slab condition, and the system you choose. Estimates are free and we quote a fixed price before any work begins.

What areas do you serve?+

We cover all of Ventura County, including Ventura, Oxnard, Thousand Oaks, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Moorpark, Newbury Park, and Santa Paula.

How long will the floor last?+

A properly prepped flake system in a residential garage should give you fifteen to twenty years of service. What kills a floor early is prep, not product, which is why we grind rather than etch.

How do I clean and maintain it?+

Sweep or blow it out, then mop with warm water and a mild cleaner. Skip anything with citrus or ammonia. There is no waxing, sealing, or annual maintenance required.

Can you coat over an existing epoxy or painted floor?+

The old coating comes off during grinding. That is included in the price rather than billed as extra work, because a new system will only bond as well as what sits underneath it.

What if my slab is cracked or pitted?+

Cracks, pits, and spalled areas get filled and ground flush before any coating goes down. Ordinary slab damage is part of the quoted job. Structural problems are a different conversation and we will tell you if we see one.

Are the fumes a problem?+

Modern polyaspartic topcoats are low odor compared to older solvent-based epoxies, and garage work vents through the open door. Most homeowners stay in the house the whole time without issue.
